Archie Archie was first diagnosed with Infantile Spams at 4 months old. As time passed he was diagnosed with severe epilepsy which unfortunately is not medically controlled. He underwent brain surgery in 2017 which failed, had a VNS fitted in 2018 to which still didn't help. He was then later diagnosed with Lennox Gastraut Syndrome and put on CBD medication which has also an epic fail. He had second brain surgery procedure early 2024 to try and help reduce his drop attacks as he suffers with four different types of seizures, however drop attacks and clonic tonic seizures being the main two. The Daisy Garland epilepsy monitor granted to Archie and us as a family really has made a world of difference as I was constantly on edge as not all seizures whilst Archie was sleeping were verbal so I would video monitor watch constantly or sleep with him to know he was safe. Now I can take a breathe knowing that I can relax a little as the monitor will alarm me to the seizures especially more so his silent ones and can get a little more well needed rest to continue my caring role to the best of my abilities for him Manage Cookie Preferences
