River, who will be 10 this year, suffered her first seizure at 18 months and has battled seizures for most of her childhood. River has tried many medications in many combinations, none have provided much relief and she’s currently not a candidate for keto. After a long wait it was found she had a genetic condition which had caused her epilepsy. Over the last 18 months to 2 years her seizures have changed from predominantly day time seizures to almost all at night and although we already had a sound monitor to alert us and a video monitor we have become increasingly worried with missing seizures due to her ever morphing epilepsy. Our Daisy Garland SATs monitor will help us monitor any seizures we may miss and help with any signs of SUDEP.
